St Vincent keeps on turning
After a year of transition, St Vincent gets back on the road.
In 2004, the village of Monthelie in the Côte de Beaune, picked up the baton, clearly determined to stage a welcoming Festival, but within the bounds of moderation..
In 2005, the Saint-Vincent Tournante was staged by Beaune, Burgundy’s wine capital.
In 2006, 16 villages in the Huates Côtes de Nuits had joined forces to organise the celebration.
In 2007 Nuits-Saint Georges was hosting the Saint-Vincent
In 2008 the Village of Saint Romain was the centre of this event
In 2009 for the first time the St Vincent was in Mâcon
In 2010 the winemakers of Chassagne Montrachet organized the event
In 2011 the vignerons of Corgoloin are busy preparing that great time of the burgundian calendar.
The Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin remains vigilant that the Festival will never attain the gargantuan proportions of the early 2000's. St Vincent will go on being celebrated in an appropriately convivial manner, but with the respect due to Burgundy and its wine growers. The Confrérie will see to that.
